Advantages of the STAR Technology
Today, in molecular testing, real time Polymerase Chain Reaction (rt-PCR) is the industry standard because of its superior quantitative performance, its established workflow and its ubiquitous availability. The drawback of rt-PCR, however, is the lack of multiplexing capability. PrimeraDx’ STAR technology solves this problem by adding multiplexing capability of up to 60 targets to rt-PCR. This uniquely positions STAR technology for single tube measurement of Gene Expression panels, micro-RNA panels, DNA Methylation panels, SNP panels or pathogen load panels of up to 60 targets.
