Based in Mansfield, MA since 2005, we are a privately funded scientific and engineering company with nearly thirty (30) employees. Our proprietary technology, named the STAR technology, was developed by PrimeraDx and is protected by three US patents with additional filings pending. STAR is uniquely positioned to address unmet needs currently impacting infectious disease and oncology diagnostics in that it provides the first technology capable of multiplexing with true quantification. Some of our current collaboration partners include the Cleveland Clinic and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Overview
We are seeking a developer to contribute to graphical interfaces and related software for collecting and visualizing data from our clinical diagnostic instrument. The software will be used to enter sample information, develop assays, automate experimental procedures, and present clinical results. Software development will be conducted using formal quality assurance procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications include the following:
- Experience or skills equivalent to a least four year of Java programming
- Experience with Java user-interface development including Swing
- Experience developing high reliability systems
- Background or experience in scientific programming, particularly in molecular biology, chemistry or medicine
- Education or experience in bioinformatics, data visualization or laboratory automation
- Cross-disciplinary communication and collaboration skills
